Name of Bride and Groom: Giorgia and Matt

First date?

Giorgia – Matt picked me up and we went to a sushi train for dinner. I couldn’t use chopsticks so was eating with my hands! Matt had a man purse which was a bit of a red flag for me!

Matt – For our first date I wanted to keep it low key to act like I wasn’t to keen. We went to Sushi train where I introduced her to number 48 on the menu, lucky for me it’s still one of our favourite meals today.

The proposal?

Giorgia-I did not see it coming! He was weird for about a month before he proposed. He would carry my birthday present (ring) In this silly bag with him everywhere!! I thought it was strange but just thought he didn’t want me snooping. Lucky he did though because we got robbed one weekend we were away but he had brought my ring with us!

Matt – about a month before proposing I asked each of giorgias family members for permission to marry Giorgia (she is all about family) I took giorgia to a private little beach we had discovered on a holiday once. It was the perfect spot as we had never seen anyone on this beach (the reason for this is because it’s a nudist beach but that’s a different story) I asked Giorgia to marry me on the beach and she said Yes! We went back to our holiday house where I had organised her family to be waiting to surprise her and celebrate.

Advice for Brides To Be? take a breath and remember what the whole day is about. A piece of advice a special friend gave to me which really helped – Remember to take your time walking down the aisle and look at your guests and groom.

The day will be over before you know it so take in all the little things that make the day special, enjoy the speeches and dancing and just enjoy yourself and your husband. You shouldn’t be stressed!

Special or unique moment on your wedding day?

Giorgia – every minute from the night before the wedding was special. Apart from seeing Matt for the first time with watery eyes, the most special moment for me would have to be having my 2 small cousins and little brother walk down the aisle with our little boy Hudson. They looked so cute!

Matt – seeing my beautiful bride walk down the aisle.

Funny moment?

there were so many funny moments throughout the night but the funniest for me was when Matt was repeating his vows to me, he had written that I was an amazing partner and Mother but instead he read out partner and lover. I couldn’t stop laughing and he didn’t realise until about 30 seconds later and corrected himself.

The big day?

Giorgia – lets just say it was everything we wanted and more. I knew that things would more then likely go wrong etc but it all ran very smoothly! It rained a tiny bit in the morning but cleared up before the wedding. Matt and I ultimately wanted a massive party with yummy food, unlimited drinks and live music so people could dance the night away and that’s exactly what we got! Our band Genrah were incredible. They definitely made the whole night come alive. I was so happy with the styling, I wanted it to be quite intimate with lots of fairy lights and candles. It all looked so beautiful. I can’t thank all the vendors enough. It was just a perfect day and night!

Matt- This was hands down the best day of my life apart from seeing my little boy enter the world. The venue, the photographer, the band, our friends and family and everyone else involved made this day perfect. I just wish the day didn’t go so quickly and that we could do it all over again.

Honeymoon: we went to Fiji for our honeymoon, a place called Nanuku resort and spa. It was so amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect honeymoon destination. We left our 15 month old with my Mum so we had 5 nights of pure relaxation and indulgence. The food and accommodation was to die for and we were treated like royalty. I miss everyone there so much!
