About Hannah Photography
Hello! Thank you for visiting our website, we hope you have fun exploring!
Hannah Photography is on quite a journey and we would love for you to join us...
We began right back in 2002 while Hannah was attending James Cook University in Townsville, studying a bachelor of photography degree, and the concept of running a family portrait studio was first conceived. After graduating at the ripe old age of 19 Hannah embarked on worldly travels, deciding more life experience was needed before setting up a business!
A highlight in the seven odd years of travel, was an incredible experience with Venture Photography in Edinburgh where Hannah was introduced to a unique and fun style of portraiture.
Two wonderful years of being a part of the Venture team were enjoyed before Hannah returned home to launch HP with focus and dedication.
August 2012 is when our doors opened for the first time and so began the next stage of the journey. We were fortunate to nestle our way into the charismatic little old shop on the corner at Norman Park.
It's here that HP really found it's way into the community, Brisbane itself and even further abroad, meeting so many amazing families with their unique stories to tell.
One year into the business... Along came the talented, quiet achiever, Miss Olivia Pratt. Olivia was only 18, still studying photography at The Design College Australia and a little bit shy.
Fast forward a few years, and Olivia now takes on all event photography and corporate photography, flying solo on most projects (Hannah sometimes assists!), is the offical studio manager and confidently directs even the most rowdy of groomsmen on their wedding day! Olivia is now photographing both portraits and weddings and together, Hannah and Olivia aim to deliver a flawless and memorable experience for you and your loved ones.
Five years after launching HP, we have moved away from our beautiful little shop in Norman Park, and into an equally charismatic and unique space off the beaten track in Annerley.
Our quiet street is located between Ipswich and Annerley Roads and the building was one of the first mechanic garages in Brisbane, built in 1903.
Recently renovated and full of charm and original features, our new studio now has more space, onsite parking right out the front (yay!) and a much more pet-friendly atmosphere.
We would love for you to visit us, check out the studio and gallery and see if we can be a small part of your journey in life.
Here's to the next chapter! X
